Dr Munther Zureigat

Dr Zureigat is a specialist dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.  He is fully trained in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology as well as an interest in cosmetic dermatology. 

Dr Zureigat graduated from the university of Jordan in 2006. He underwent further clinical training in the United States including medical and surgical rotations at the Mayo clinic and the Presbyterian Hospital in New York and completed the United States licencing examinations. He then moved to work in war affected countries including Afghanistan and Iraq performing various duties including medical air evacuations, emergency medicine, and general practice clinics.

After immigrating to Australia, he trained to become a General Practitioner and became a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  As a General Practitioner, he served the community of Wollongong and the South Coast for a number of years covering general practice clinics and emergency departments. 

Dr Zureigat completed a further 4 years in dermatology speciality training to become a specialist dermatologist and fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.  As a specialist dermatologist he is expert in the management and diagnosis of cutaneous diseases as well as diseases affecting hair and nails.  He has a passionate interest in managing melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer through early detection and patient-centred management of skin cancers, using both surgical and non-surgical techniques.  He also has a strong interest in the management and individualised patient outcomes for patients suffering from inflammatory skin diseases such as acne, rosacea, eczema/dermatitis, psoriasis, and pigmentary diseases. 

Dr Zureigat is available to see adults and children in the St Leonards practice on Fridays.
