Making an appointment
Do I need a referral?
A referral is required from your general practitioner so that you can obtain a Medicare rebate for the consultation. More importantly the referral also ensures that your dermatologist can communicate with your primary care doctor about your problem.
What can I expect at my appointment?
At your initial consultation we aim to diagnose your skin condition and a treatment plan will be developed and discussed. It is important to remember that sometimes additional tests may be required to help with the diagnosis or management of your skin condition, and follow up appointments are often necessary.
Cancellation Policy
Over recent months, we have tried many options to make more appointments available.
To ensure maximum availability for those that wish to have treatments with us, we have had to make an adjustment to our cancellation policy in order to give us enough notice to fill cancellations with people from our waiting list.
Our new cancellation policy requires you to provide us with 24 hours’ notice should you need to cancel or change a scheduled appointment.
Late cancellation fee:
A $50 cancellation fee will apply to anyone that cannot attend their appointment, cancels or changes an appointment within 24 hours of their appointment.
