Dr Phillip Dwyer is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologist.  He has been a dermatologist serving the Central Coast for over 20 years.  He had been based in Kanwal, but as of the beginning of March 2022 has closed these rooms and commenced work at The Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centre in Gosford.

Dr Dwyer has a vast experience in managing broad range of skin conditions and continues to teach registrars from the New South Wales Faculty training program.  He has a special interest surgical dermatology with the management of non-melanoma skin cancers and melanoma, including flap and graft repairs.

Dr Phillip Dwyer sees his patients through the Gosford Practice on Mondays to Thursdays.

Dr Victoria Snaidr is an Australian-based health professional. Victoria is trained as a Dermatologist (Skin Specialist), GP (General Practitioner) and practices in our St Leonards rooms on Wednesday’s.

Dr Germana C. Romero

Dr Germana C. Romero is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. A passion for medicine and direct patient care brought Dr Romero into the field of dermatology. She completed her dermatology training in 2016 in Spain. During her postgraduate training, she pursued advanced dermatology clinical exposure in several renowned academic medical centres including the Cleveland Clinic in the United States; Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia and the Melanoma Unit of the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, Spain.

She successfully completed the European Board of Dermatology and Venereology (UEMS-EBDV) exam in Frankfurt, Germany in 2018 and the specialty examination in Dermatology (SCE) by the Royal College of Physicians in London, United Kingdom in 2019.

Dr Romero completed a 2-year clinical fellowship in oncodermatology and advanced medical dermatology at Westmead Hospital in 2019. In the last five years she has provided care as a consultant dermatologist to patients with a myriad of skin disorders in university teaching hospitals in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) and in New Zealand (Christchurch) before moving permanently to Australia with her family in 2023.

As a specialist dermatologist, Dr Romero treats the entire spectrum of skin conditions in patients of all ages. Some of her professional interests include the multidisciplinary management of skin cancers, procedural dermatology, dermatopathology, cutaneous side effects of anti-cancer therapies and cutaneous lymphomas.

Dr Romero sees her patients through the Gosford Practice on Mondays to Fridays (Mornings only).

Dr Brogan Salence

MBChB MRCP(UK) SCE (Derm UK)

Dr Brogan Salence is a UK-trained dermatologist and is an accredited dermatology fellow at The Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centre.  She completed an accredited* 12 month Mohs and advanced dermatological surgery fellowship at the world-renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, UK.

After graduating from medical school in Cape Town, South Africa, Dr Salence undertook further physician training in the UK obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians.  She then completed her dermatology specialist training in Oxford, UK.  It was here where she developed a particular interest in teaching by delivering dermatology seminars at Oxford University.

Dr Brogan Salence was the UK trainee representative for the British Society of Dermatological Surgery and is an ongoing member.  She has been involved in creating dermatological surgical educational videos and continues to publish widely within dermatology.

Whilst undertaking her fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatological surgery at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, she developed her skills in the diagnosis and management of skin cancers performing complex surgical repairs including flaps and grafts. She gained extensive experience in facial reconstruction with particular attention on cosmesis.  Dr Salence uses a patient-focused approach combined with therapeutic excellence to ensure the optimal aesthetic outcome.

Dr Salence has also presented internationally on treatments for rare skin cancers and has been awarded funding for research to improve diagnosis of skin cancers and has presented her findings internationally.

Her dermatology interests include dermatological surgery, sun damage and skin cancer management, general dermatology including acne treatments, laser surgery, skin rejuvenation, injectables and bespoke prescription skincare.

Dr Shimren Rajbhandari

Dr Shimren Rajbhandari is a dermatologist from Nepal and is an accredited  dermatology fellow at The Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centre.

After graduating  from Hebei University in 2010, Dr Shimren Rajbhandari went to the Philippines to complete his training in Dermatology to be come a dermatologist. He then moved back to Nepal to work for an international not-for-profit organisation delivering health care services across the regional areas of the Himalayan nation. Afterwards, he migrated to Australia and completed his fellowship training in Onco-dermatology at Westmead hospital where he acquired training in clinical work involving General Dermatology, Melanoma, Non-melanoma skin cancer, Cutaneous Lymphoma, and Dermatological Surgery.

His special interests are in chronic inflammatory skin conditions like Eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis and acne, Melanoma, Non-melanoma skin cancers and surgical dermatology. 

Dr Shimren Rajbhandari sees his patients through the Gosford Practice Mondays to Thursdays and through the St Leonards Practice on Fridays.

Clinical Professor Saxon Smith is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Otago, New Zealand and holds a Masters of Health Law and Doctor of Philosophy (Medicine) from the University of Sydney. He has completed the healthcare laser safety officer certificate and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2019, he was admitted to the Roll of Fellows with the Australian Medical Association for services to medicine and the association, as well as received a Certificate of Meritorious Service from the Australasian College of Dermatologists for services in dermatology education, research and college committees.

Clinical Professor Saxon Smith has practiced dermatology in a number of teaching hospitals including the St Vincent’s Hospital, John Hunter Hospital, Liverpool Hospital and Royal North Shore. Currently, he is in private practice in Gosford and St Leonards, and a visiting medical officer (AMO) at the Sydney Adventist Hospital in Wahroonga.  For many years he as a staff specialist dermatologist at Royal North Shore Hospital where he ran a cutaneous oncology clinic with surgical dermatology and immuno-oncology patients, as well as a subspecialty multi-disciplinary clinics in the management of hidradenitis suppurativa, dermatological issues in renal transplant patients and dermatological issues in neurology patients.

Clinical Professor Saxon Smith is actively involved in clinical research and has over 100 publications and over 125 published abstracts in national and international peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He received the Adrian Johnson Prize from the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2010 for his research and publication around topical corticosteroid phobia. He is co-editor-in-chief of Opinions and Progress in Cosmetic Dermatology (the journal for the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists).

He is a Clinical Professor with The Australian National University (ANU) and an Honorary Associate with The University of Sydney and has been involved in teaching medical school students as well as acting as a supervisor for Higher Degree by Research (PhDs, Masters, and Honours) candidates.  He has spent many years as a clinical supervisor, especially cutaneous surgery, for registrars/trainees from the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Clinical Professor Saxon Smith is a past President of the Australian Medical Association of New South Wales. He spent 6 years as the New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory representative on Australian Medical Association Federal Council.  He spent 16years on the Australian Medical Association (NSW) Council and 10 years on the Board of Directors of AMA(NSW), including chairing the board for 2 years.  He is a past chair of the New South Wales Faculty, and nationally a past chair of the Representatives Committee and the Public Affairs Committee for the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He currently is a member of the STP taskforce for the College which supervises nationally the government funding or trainee positions and assessment of potential new training sites for The Australasian College of Dermatologists. He spent 2 years on the national trainee interview selection panel for the College.

Clinical Professor Saxon Smith is a spokesperson on various health issues and public health campaigns on behalf of the Australian Medical Association and the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He is involved in various committees and advisory boards for government, not-for-profit and private sectors.

Clinical Professor Saxon Smith is a specialist in the diagnosis and management of skin conditions and offers a broad range of general medical, surgical and cosmetic services.

Clinical Professor Saxon Smith sees his paediatric and adult patients through Gosford (Telehealth only) on Monday mornings, and through St Leonards (Face-to-Face) on Wednesday mornings and Friday mornings.
